Ashley “Ash” Davis is from Belleville, Michigan. She graduated from Michigan State University in 2016 with a B.A. in French with honors and an additional major in Japanese. During her undergraduate years, she has undertaken language immersion programs at the Institut de Touraine in Tours, France and JCMU in Hikone, Japan. Additionally, she has received several scholarships and awards for her undergraduate studies such as the MSUFCU Study Abroad and Georges Joyaux Professional Scholarships in 2014, the “Outstanding Student in French” award in 2015, and the Houvener Memorial Scholarship in 2016. Before becoming a graduate teaching assistant, she was an international lecturer in Tours at François Rabelais University under their English department.
Currently, Ash is pursuing a Master’s degree in French as a teaching assistant in the Romance and Classical Studies Department.
