Biography

Kristine Byron is Associate Professor of Spanish in the Department of Romance and Classical Studies at Michigan State University. She teaches interdisciplinary courses in literature, culture, and women’s studies. She received her PhD in Comparative Literary and Cultural Studies from the University of Connecticut in 2001. She is the author of Women, Revolution, and Autobiographical Writing in t he Twentieth Century: Writing History, Writing the Self (2007) and several articles on Cuban history, Latin American literature, and Irish literature.
