Starting Fall 2018, the International Relations Office of the University of Tours in France has very generously offered a scholarship of 500 euros per month to a MSU student who plans to study for a semester in Tours. This scholarship is a reflection of MSU’s long-standing relationship with the University of Tours and it aims to promote international understanding between our two countries.
Starting 2018, and thanks to a new endowment from an anonymous donor, the Department of Romance and Classical Studies in the College of Arts & Letters offers Scholarships for Romance and Classical Languages.
The department faculty selects undergraduate and graduate scholarship recipients to attend eligible study abroad programs. Undergraduate recipients must be enrolled in one of the following: majors in Spanish and/or French, outstanding minors in Portuguese, or Italian, or Classics/Ancient Mediterranean Studies, and shall be recommended by the faculty of the language program. Graduate recipients are making outstanding progress towards their degrees, must be enrolled at least part time in one of the French or Spanish graduate programs, have a cumulative GPA of 3.5, and/or be making significant contributions to the department's programs.
The number of awards made in a given year and the amount of the awards will be based upon available Expendable Amounts in that year.
